Gratitude — How Big is Your God?

December 23rd, 2008

What are you thankful for? Is that a Christmas time question? It’s a question for what may be hard times for some. If hard times seem to be upon you think of the promise of Habbakuk. A promise for troubled times:

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places… Habbakuk 3:17-19

“He will make me to walk upon mine high places.” God will bring you over whatever it is.

Michael Beckwith puts it like this: “don’t tell God how big your problems are, tell your problems how big your God is.” How big is your God?
