One Woman With A Vision

April 16th, 2009

Pastor Santo Calarco and his daughter Bree were on vacation at Kruger National Park South Africa when they learned of an impoverished area called Bush Back Ridge only a few miles away. They found 600 orphan children, parents dead from HIV, who were left wondering the streets; they found more than 1000 sick and elderly needing care. They also found a remarkable woman with a vision: Irene Moon and a group of determined women.

Santo and Bree Calarco, father and daughter, tell their story of their mission work with orphans and the story of one woman with a vision in South Africa. Email; rocsan7@bigpond.com Phone; +61404029822

Irene Moon and the women have stepped up and are caring for the children and for the sick. The children are being fed but there is still no home for most of the children and they live on the street. The dream is to build an orphanage.

Pastor Calarco working to empower the women so that they can realize the dream. The $1,000,000 Australian mentioned in the video is about $724,000 U.S.

Pastor Calarco is seeking organizations and individuals who can help. Contact Pastor Calarco: rocsan7@bigpond.com or you can call him: +61404029822

  • I really admire and respect Santo and Bree Calarco for genuinely caring and actually wanting to make a difference and being proactive about it. God bless their hearts. If the world had more people like Santo and Bree Calarco, the world would be a more beautiful place, reflecting Jesus’ light and love.

  • When I hear of people doing the work like Santo and Bree Calarco and Irene Moon and her group of women I think of the scripture “… living epistle.”

These are people who are living letters to us from God.
