How can faith be relied on to be correct?

April 13th, 2010

If I claim I have faith that the Sun orbits the Earth, that doesn’t make it correct.
Actual evidence (observations) will show otherwise.

Similarly I could claim I have faith that Paris is the capital of Germany.
Use of evidence gets the correct answer.

So, what procedures can ensure that having faith in something means it’s correct?

Do you apply such procedures to your faith?

This is not a question about what you have faith of, but how you can rely on it to be correct.
