John MacArthur and Piper Teach Salvation By Works

Stickam.com Live Bible Chatroom on Sundays at the link above. They say there is a point “beyond forgiveness” at which unbelievers are too sinful to be saved. So, when an unbeliever does get saved, it is partly because that unbeliever did not go past the point “beyond forgiveness”.

I concur with you. This guy is clearly misrepresenting MacArthur’s position on the salvation issue. However, there are a few things that MacAurther believe that i don’t give credence to. The resurrection is one of those things.

@evewale Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons’ of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. Mark 3:28-29 Then v. 30 explains what the Lord is speaking about. v30, Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit in v.22. They were attributing to Satan the work of the Holy Spirit.

@evewale You’re welcome. In Mat. 12:32, the Lords, also says…but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

That clip of JMac was just an electronic voice… I’m pretty sure that John Macarthur and Piper have both read Ephesians 2:8-9 (and many MANY other verses in the Bible) and know that God has saved us only by grace ONLY through faith.

you are misrepresting macarthur and piper. they have dozens of sermons teaching that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. their sermons on persevering and not sinning can not be taken out of context because they go hand in hand with their other sermons.
its the same as the Bible, we see some passages like in Hebrews and in James that almost sound like they are teaching salvation by works, but we all know they do not.
macarthur and piper are hardcore calvinists.

The person who made this video surely is not mature enough to understand the text he quoted which is fully correct. Their is that point but the elect willnever reach that point and turn away God and majority of Men will not reach that point

Men like john macarthur, john piper, driscoll etc are unsaved modernists who don’t know the bible! they claim to believe in salvation by faith alone through grace but then require turning from sin as a requirement. This will make salvation by works in reality.

the maker of this video is a troll trying to show how smart he is. I have heard many sermons of Mac Arthur saying many times that we are saved by grace through faith. just go to his web site and read his statement of faith. and you will see. piper Im not sure I dont know that much about him

This is such a stupid analysis of what they are saying. The Bible says exactly what they are saying. And this British Loser is taking it out of context of what the Gospel is. No doubt it’s in response to the fact that these men of God devote themselves to the truth of God’s word, in it’s entirety, to where they believe in the limited atonement of God’s sacrifice for them that only the Holy spirit can redeem from a fallen state. This guy is a loser who thinks he’s smart.

Andrew, let me tell you something. John MacArthur and John Piper does not teach salvation works. Listen to more of there sermons and commentaries, you’ll learn more from them. Really.

You are an ignorant man, whoever made this video… The Bible CLEARY talks about your heart being hardened if you reject the truth too many times. Not “too much sin”, but willingly rejecting the knowledge of the truth you have received. You have to have the knowledge of the truth first though. STUDY YOUR BIBLE! YOU my friend, are leading people astray. Forget what Piper and MacArthur said… You just said the opposite of scripture.

Repent means turning from sin. That is ALSO a gift from God…not a human work.. And it happens at the moment of salvation by grace alone through faith alone. Show me an unrepentent person, and I’ll show you a non-Christian.
