SO4J-TVs Martha Mac interviewed Ray Comfort of Way of the Master TV about: What it means to “SO4J” Sold Out For Jesus (Luke 9 23-26), Biblical Evangelism, and his Book “What Hollywood Believes”— which explores the Faith of the Rich & Famous. What is Biblical Evangelism? Biblical Evangelism is a term used by Author & TV Host Ray Comfort and Actor Kirk Cameron, of Way of the Master TV & Radio. The principles of Biblical Evangelism (SO4J.com can be found in Ray Comfort’s Book that he wrote called, “Hell’s Best Kept Secret” (which also takes people through what is called the “Good Test” (www.SO4J.com ) which talks about the Biblical Principles that Jesus laid out to us in giving us the Moral Law of the 10 Commandments to proud people (Matthew 19 16-30; Mark 10 17-31; Luke 18 18-30)— to reveal their Sin, helping them to see their need for a Savior. The basic concept is: Give the Law of the 10 Commandments to proud people, and Grace (the Gospel of Jesus Christ) to Humble people. To further explain Biblical Evangelism, we must first show people that they have a Contagious Disease” called Sin (John 3 36, Romans 3 23) which will eventually lead all people to Eternal Hell & Separation from God. @MrTraitorX Repentance is a work of God, not man. Read 2 Tim 2:25 and Acts 11:18. In. Luke 13:1-5 Jesus says “Unless you repent you will all likewise perish”. Can’t be more clear than that..

No. Coveting would fall under that catagory. Wanting something that is not yours and Jesus said that all the commandments boil down to to Love God and Love your neighbor. So does RAPE fall under ‘loving’ your fellow man? NO!

Where is the transformation, the new creation in Christ, the fruit of the Spirit, the putting away of the “old man”????? It takes a moment to get salvation, it takes a lifetime to live it out. As a believer I disagree with the logic of the comfort approach, example:
Have ever given someone a gift? Does that make you generous?
Have you ever told the truth? Does that make you honest?
Have you ever written a poem or essay? Does that make you a writer?
The problem is that when such questions are asked of our negative qualities, we subconsciously label ourselves according to occasional actions, yet we don’t do the same with our positive actions. Even good people sin, unfortunately.

@abe2517 Good point. However the problem is most people think they’re good enough to get to heaven on their own. Most people do not understand God is holy, righteous, and perfectly just. And they do not understand how bad sin is. Any sin will separate us from a holy, perfect God for all eternity. People tend to minimize sin and think more highly of themselves than they ought to. Ray is just trying to help people realize they are sinners in need of the only one who can save them, Jesus Christ.

You may say that atheist hate ray for irrational reasons. I say hate is irrational in the first place, but we have plenty of reason to be upset with him. Ray put a 50 page synopses in book that someone wrote trying to hack his credibility because he had a different belief system than Ray did. That is wrong on so many levels. I am talking about the origin of the species, in that Ray has not done any research on it, and attempts to hack it to make sure people believe as he does. ITS WRONG!!!!
