www.gty.org First, the Bible is true because it gives us the experience it claims it will. For example, the Bible says God will forgive our sin (1 John 1 I believe that, and I can truly say that I have a sense of freedom from guilt. The Bible also says that “if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17 ). That’s what happened to me when I came to Jesus Christ. The Bible changes lives. Someone has said that a Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t. That’s true because the Bible can put lives together. Millions of people all over the world are living proof that that is true. Maybe you know one or two of them. They’ve experienced the Bible’s power. www.gty.org

The word of the bible
“But put to death to death any interpreters of dreams or prophets that tell you to rebel against the lord, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. Such people are evil and are trying to lead you away from the life that thelord has cammanded you to live. They must be put to death, in order to rid yourselves of this evil” (Deuteronomy 13:5) find me the good in this passage

Are you serious? This is Old Covenant Law, under a Theocratic Kingdom ruled by God. Sin and blasphemy were punishable by death- sin could not stand before a Holy and Righteous God. In the current age we don’t kill sinners, but rather they will recieve their just reward at the final judgement if they do not repent of their wickedness, and accept the grace of God that is Christ Jesus.

these are people coming in and telling the isrealites to leave the Lord for their own gain. theres nothing ok about that. i hope youve read the whole bible and actually done some studying rather than taking certain verses out of context.

Eratosthenes, hundreds of years earlier knew the earth was a sphere.
So why does this dishonest fellow clearly lie. Where does it say sphere in the bible?
I was under the impression the best it says is round.
How does a sphere have edges, or corners?
If this is supposed to be the inerrant word of god, why does he get so much plainly wrong?

God is sir, you cant wish him away, u cant think him away. Stop fighting him it is a waste of time. You actually are not just rejecting him, but by the looks of your page you are battling against him.

The Good in it is that God had something to say about their Idol worship and witchcraft and you know what he has something to say about your sin too.
U do not want to meet God on the other side of eternity without a right relationship with him. And in the verse u refer to it is almost as though he is saying,”Send them over to me”
Yet we read that God knows that there are a remnant of people if given a chance will walk with him and love him and he will love and forgive them.
Will u walk.

i was just about to say that. no where in the bible does it say that the earth is a sphere. the closest thing is when it mentions circle and a circle is flat.

How can a child who doesn’t live to the age of 3 and a man who lives to be 110 be judged the same?
How can a person born into absolute miserable poverty be judged the same as a person who lives in multi-million dollar homes in Beverly Hills?
How can a tribe of people living in remote jungles who have never heard of Christianity or the Bible be judged at all?

Couldn’t you say this from most religions point of view?
And if the religions are correct then everyone embraces satan.

Jesus makes specific promises in the Bible about how prayer is supposed to work. Jesus says in many places that he and God will answer your prayers (Matthew 21:21, 11:24, Matthew 18:19); in John chapter 14 vers 12-14
explicitly ‘ … You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it’
If that were true, why don’t christians knee down and pray to God to cure every case of cancer on this planet today!
Will anything happen? No. Of course not.
Why – because God is imaginary!

@DirteatDirt The original word was חוּג chûg khoog >From Strong’s Concordance: H2328; a circle: – circle, circuit, com passive. It does not mean a sphere. Hebrew has at least two words that mean sphere: : כדור (he) (kadúr) m., ספרה (he) (sféra).
Apparently god failed geometry as well as biology.

A sphere and a circle are NOT the same thing. Even a child recognizes this. However, adults purposely ignore this clear fact. Furthermore, they try to pass his obvious deception along to others like a used car salesman.

These are some very interesting points that John points out! I think another great reason is that if we already proved or stated that Jesus is real, Jesus says that the Bible is true and that would PROVE that this Bible is actually true. So in other words if we prove that Jesus existed than we prove that the Bible is true!

Wow…he just echoed what I’ve always thought but didn’t know how to express. Jesus is beyond human invention. No man could know what he knew and say what he did, things that pierce the human soul, exceeding the greatest philosophers and wise men. In three short years he changed the world with nothing but words at his disposal. That’s not possible for any mere man.
